Maple Grilled Peaches with Nut Praline

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Sweet and crunchy praline matched with warm sticky peaches fried in maple syrup. It is an addictive combination. Of course, a scoop of vanilla ice cream just brings it all together.

Maple Grilled Peaches with Nut Praline

Method

  1. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Melt the sugar slowly in a saucepan over a low heat for about 5 minutes. Shake the pan occasionally and watch closely until glossy and golden.
  2. Remove from the heat. Stir in the nuts until coated, then immediately pour onto the prepared tray.
  3. Cool completely before breaking into small pieces, or blitz for a finer crumb.
  4. Place the peach slices in a non-stick frying pan over a high heat until each side begins to brown. Reduce the heat, add the maple syrup and cook for a further 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Serve with vanilla ice cream, a sprinkling of praline and a little extra maple syrup.
