Bakes Apples with Pecans and Balsamic Syrup


  • Atkins and Potts Balsamic Syrup
  • 4 eating apples
  • 75g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 75g chopped pecans
  • 75g chopped raisins
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 150ml boiling water
  • Ice cream to serve


    • Wash and core each apple.
    • Mix together the sugar, cinnamon, pecans and raisins. Stuff the cored apples with the pecan mixture and place in an ovenproof dish.
    • Top each apple with a dot of butter. Place the ovenproof dish into a larger high-sided baking tray and add the boiling water to the tray.
    • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes.
    • Remove the apples from the oven and glaze each apple with Atkins & Potts Balsamic Syrup.
    • Serve with a scoop of ice cream.
